2023 – 2024
Reclaim the Frame X International
Curatorial and Project Team Member (from the Flying Broom Foundation)
The second edition of the Reclaim the Frame X International project, organized by the Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival (Turkey) and Reclaim the Frame (UK) – formerly known as Birds Eye View, has successfully facilitated the screening of four films produced in the UK to audiences in Ankara, Turkey, and a production from Turkey screened at the Leeds Queer Film Festival in the UK. The project’s primary goal is to enhance audience reach for female and non-binary filmmakers from Turkey and the United Kingdom. The project is financed by the British Council Arts.

2022 – 2023
Reclaim the Frame X International
Curatorial and Project Team Member (from the Flying Broom Foundation)
Reclaim the Frame X International was an international project aimed at supporting culturally diverse women and non-binary filmmakers from across six countries. A joint selection and a year-long online training program for women and non-binary filmmakers was organized by Birds Eye View (UK), Regards de Femme (Tunisia), Women Make Waves International Film Festival (Taiwan), and Flying Broom International Film Festival (Turkey) within the scope of this project. The project is financed by the British Council Arts.

2020 – 2020
Kadınların Sineması (Women’s Cinema) YouTube Project
Production and Presentation
Kadınların Sineması (Women’s Cinema) was an audiovisual project where 12 women working in different fields of the film industry in Turkey were interviewed about their experiences in the film industry. The project is financed by the European Union Sivil Düşün Programme.

SEMINAR / WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION

Locarno Film Festival Industry Academy (1-14 August 2024)

I attended the Industry Academy of Locarno Film Festival as a young professional in the industry. The Academy is a training programme dedicated to young professionals working in the fields of international sales, marketing, exhibition, traditional and online distribution, programming, and curating (festivals, film clubs, film archives and libraries), and cultural management. The Academy took place during the 77^th Locarno Film Festival in Locarno, Switzerland.

The Future of Film Festivals Forum (19 – 20 July 2023)

I attended the Future of Film Festivals Forum as a film festival representative. The Forum was organized by the Independent Cinema Office with the support of the British Council and took place during the mBank New Horizons International Film Festival in Wrocław, Poland.

Online London Doctoral Summer School (21 June – 3 July 2021)

I attended the Online London Doctoral Summer School’s intensive 2-week programme. The funding for the programme is provided by the Jagiellonian University, Doctoral School in the Humanities.

Developing Your Film Festival, Independent Cinema Office (22 February – 16 March 2021, Online)

I attended the Independent Cinema Office’s (London, UK) five-week-long Developing Your Film Festival training programme with a scholarship.

Journalism in Controversial Periods Training and Scholarship (9-13 May 2016, Hamburg-Berlin, Germany)

As one of the seven journalists selected by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (Germany) and P24 Independent Journalism Platform (Turkey), I received this training in Germany. The scholarship covered research trip expenses and the copyright payment for the book chapter.
