Fatma Edemen is a PhD candidate in the Studies on Arts program at the Doctoral School in the Humanities at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. She is currently a visiting researcher at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam, Germany, funded by a DAAD short-term research grant. Her dissertation focuses on curating Kurdishness in film festivals. Before her current studies, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ankara University and a master’s degree in Cultural Studies: Comparative Heritage Studies from Jagiellonian University. She is also the producer and host of the podcast FilmFestTalk.
